WASHINGTON: United States (US) state department spokesperson Ned Price said they are aware of Pakistan National Security statements and defending itself against terrorism is its right.  He held people of Pakistan have suffered heavily in terrorist attacks. Afghanistan should not become launching pad of terrorism.

It should be ensured that Afghanistan soil is not used for terrorism.  Pakistan has right to hit back at terrorism. During daily news briefing, he underlined we are making close review of situation in Afghanistan. We are too reviewing what steps should be taken against decisions of Taliban.  We are determined for betterment of Afghan people. Afghan Talibans are not delivering their promises.

He said no country will be allowed to provide sanctuaries and facilitation to terrorists and that Pakistan reserves right to safeguard its people. NGOs and particularly Afghan women should be allowed to work in Afghanistan.
