Decision taken to expel all foreigners living in Pakistan illegally

ISLAMABAD: Final decision has been taken to expel all foreigners from country who are living in Pakistan illegally.

Possibility is there to give final deadline to foreigners illegally settled in Pakistan to leave country.  It will be binding on all illegal foreigners to sell all assets and return to their country till the prospective deadline. Illegal foreigners will be expelled from Pakistan and their properties will be seized on expiry of deadline.

National Apex Committee (NAC) met under caretaker Prime Minister here. Meeting strongly condemned recent terror related incidents in country. Consultation in details on overall peace and security situation in country was made.

Meeting was attended by Army Chief Gen Syed Asim Munir and intelligence agencies authorities. Chief Ministers, federal and provincial ministers also attended meeting.  Briefing on investigation made by interior ministry and intelligence agencies in terror related incidents was given in meeting.

Participants of meeting said there is no room for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan. These elements will be brought to justice with full force and resources.  Committee reviewed progress of National Action Plan besides agreeing on continuing operations against anti peace elements.

Committee expressed satisfaction over ongoing operation against smuggling and hoarders in country. Committee expressed concern over involvement of government staff in smuggling. Participants agreed on zeroing in on political persons and government employees involved in dirty business.

Committee has decided to conduct complete monitoring of Afghan transit trade for prevention of smuggling.
