ISLAMABAD: Defence minister Khawaja Asif said decision on appointment of Army Chief will not be made under any one’s pressure.  In an interview with US broadcasting corporation he said no concession will be given to Imran Khan in regard to his controversial statement   with reference to appointment of Army Chief. Complete investigation will be made before launching legal proceedings on his controversial statement. He held making appointment of Army Chief controversial is not in national interest in any way.

On other he considers it enmity.  He remarked consultations are made on key issues in ruling coalition, he indicated. Names to be received from army will be put up before allied parties’ leaders.  Saying anything about Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa extension in service is premature and unnecessary, he underlined. He made it clear that Pakistani soil was not used for drone attacks in Afghanistan.
