KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem on visiting Nazimabad Mujahid Colony reviewed ongoing operation against encroachment. Around 150 feet wide land is meant for building highway. Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad Zainab Jahandad, DSP Nazimabad Muhammad Salman, KDA Enforcement, KMC and DMC officers were present. Talking to press and electronic media representatives, Taha said that before starting anti-encroachment operation, all legal requirements have been fulfilled by district administration and KDA for vacation of land.

Many residents started vacating their houses voluntarily, while those who were seduced by occupation mafia could not do so, however, this KDA land is government property and to be handed over for highway purpose.  KDA enforcement staff, Sindh Police, KMC and DMC Central officers are in action to clear encroached land. An attempt was made to obstruct anti-encroachment operation by miscreants and occupation mafia during operation but they were stopped with help of police and civil administration. Officials would remain demolish illegally erected constructions in district under unwavering operation drive, he added. Heavy machinery is still being used to turn land to zero land.
