DC Central Taha in meeting finalises arrangements for Youm-e-Ali (RA) procession

Karachi: To mark martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) in central district to determine procession routes and to finalise security measures and arrangements including cleanliness around Imambargahs and procession routes Deputy Commissioner and Administration District Central Taha Saleem in meeting with Assistant Commissioners, KMC, DMC, Karachi, representatives of Water and Sewerage Board, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, K Electric, Sindh Police and Pakistan Rangers decided to take fool-proof security measures.

It was decided to take steps for cleanliness of procession routes, patchwork on damaged roads, lighting arrangements and other civic issues. Taha Saleem said that day of martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (AS) is important for entire Muslim ummah, therefore religious tolerance and unity should be kept.

An atmosphere of brotherhood should be maintained in spirit of inter-Muslims, while fool-proof safety measures should be taken along with provision of all municipal facilities at places where processions and assemblies are held. Taha Saleem instructed forces to be on high alert to deal with any possible mischief. It should be noted that in four zones of central district, processions are taken out from various imambargahs. It utilises all available resources to facilitate provision of municipal facilities, meeting decided.
