KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem inspected ongoing operation against encroachment in Mujahid Colony Nazimabad. Officials of KMC and DMC Encroachment Cell and of concerned departments were also present.

He said that operation demolishing encroachments and action against encroachers should be accelerated during operation, elements opposing action should be dealt with iron hand. He said that boundaries of Mujahid Colony should be brought to original condition as per layout and all roadsides should be ensured free from illegal constructions. In light of orders by Supreme Court, Central District is busy to comply with orders.

Karachi Development Authority, KMC and DMC Central are continuing their operations in this respect which is commendable. Staff of KDA Department of State and Enforcement’s effective operation against occupants without discrimination should be continued.

Anti-Encroachment Department and KDA is busy in Mujahid Colony Wahid Colony Nazimabad Block B and illegal constructions on 15 feet road, while they faced minor resistance. During operation, illegal shops, concrete structures and encroachments were demolished by using heavy machinery.
