DC Central directs all members to gear-up for elections next month

KARACHI: A meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner Central's office, attended by members of the North Nazimabad Gymkhana, including the Director Cultural and Sports of KMC, Acting President of North Nazimabad Gymkhana, Administrator, Secretary, and Founder Members.

The meeting was also attended by former Federal Minister Shamim Siddiqui, Faisal Maiz Khan, Syed Owais Ahmed, SM Shikil, Mazhar Ali Saad, and other Founder Members. During the meeting, an announcement was made regarding the dissolution of all bodies, as per the letter received from the Mayor of Karachi.

The Deputy Commissioner Central, SSP Central, and Director Sports and Culture will now oversee the gymkhana. The Deputy Commissioner Central directed all members to prepare for the gymkhana's elections within the next month.

He emphasized that the gymkhana is a public place, established for the residents of North Nazimabad, and no individual should consider it their personal property. The elections will be conducted in a transparent manner.

The Deputy Commissioner, Taha Saleem, assured the Founder Members that the government is committed to the betterment and welfare of the gymkhana.

The role of the Election Commission will now be taken over by the Deputy Commissioner, Senior Supreintendent (SSP) Central, and Director Sports and Culture.

This development marks a significant step towards ensuring the gymkhana's operations are conducted in a fair and transparent manner, with the government's over
