Data leakage from PMO, JIT formed to investigate matter

ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry has constituted JIT to probe at high level into matter of leakage of important data from Prime Minister (PM) House. JIT will include a representative of sensitive institutions.
Sources said JIT will investigate how IT data was leaked. JIT will be empowered to include PM House staff members in investigation. Either devices were installed in PM House or recording was made though mobile. This will be investigated as well.
JIT will review about officers who were present in PM House at time of incident. Special branch personnel will also be investigated who were performing their duty in PM House since last 6 months.
Sources said movement of security personnel appointed in PM House and PM Office has also been restricted. Sources said JIT has been empowered to seek help from FIA and other security organisations. JIT will work out a detailed report and send it to it to interior ministry besides making recommendations for initiating action against persons found responsible.
