Dar for further expanding Pak-UK relations

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has long historic ties with United Kingdom and relations between two countries needed to be further expanded for mutual benefit of countries.
British Acting High Commissioner Andrew Dalgleish and Minister exchanged views on matters of common interest including promoting mutual trade and investment between two countries, statement added. He briefed envoy about economic challenges coupled with devastating floods and said that government aimed to bring about economic and fiscal stability leading to economic recovery and growth.
He also appreciated good will and cooperation extended by British Acting High Commissioner, statement added.
British Acting High Commissioner commended practical and pragmatic measures being undertaken by government and extended full support of British government for government and people of Pakistan in mitigating socio-economic challenges.
