Dar calls for immediate, unconditional ceasefire in Gaza

JORDAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
He made call during his meeting with United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres in Jordan on sidelines of high-level conference on prevailing situation in Gaza.
He called for unimpeded humanitarian assistance to besieged people of Gaza, return of displaced Palestinians and ensuring accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed by Israel. He reiterated Pakistan's strong and unequivocal condemnation of indiscriminate and brutal use of force by Israel against the Palestinians.
During meeting, Dar lauded UN Secretary General's initiative to jointly hold conference along with Jordan and Egypt at time when people of Palestine are in dire need of international support and urgent humanitarian assistance.
He commended leadership and proactive role of Secretary General in raising concern at situation in Gaza on international stage. He urged UN Secretary General to use his good offices for just resolution of outstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
