Dagha visits SITE Ltd, vows for implementation of computerized database system

Karachi: Caretaker Minister of Industry and Commerce Younus Dagha visited Site Limited. MD Site Limited Ghazanfar Ali Qadri gave a detailed briefing to Younus Dagha regarding industrial affairs. Secretary Industries Rashid Solangi and Secretary Site Syed Mohammad Afzal Shar were also present on this occasion, according to the official press release.

Minister Younus Dhaga expressed his displeasure over the non-receipt of dues of Site Limited. In the briefing, he was informed about ongoing projects in Site Karachi, road construction, ongoing mega projects across Sindh and other development schemes.

Younus Dagha said that all land records of detailed briefing industries should be computerized immediately. He further said that all the data related to transfer of industrial land, approval of maps, construction permission and other issues should be compiled in computerized data base system.

Minister ordered to immediate restoration of inactive pumping stations of SITE to meet the water requirements of the industries in Karachi. He said special attention should be given to the installation of street lights and construction of green belts in industrial area.

Younus Dagha said that collection of dues from private and public institutions in all industrial estates should be expedited and ordered to remove constructions on the drains immediately.

He also expressed concern over encroachment of industrial lands across Sindh including the Nooriabad Industrial Area, one industrial plot being given to two multiple allottees. Apart from this, Minister of Industry and Trade held a separate meeting with the legal department of Site Limited and ascertained the details.  He reviewed and also inspected the road construction and repair works at SITE .
