Dagha inaugurates ‘Online Facilitation Center’ at ABAD

KARACHI: Sindh Caretaker Minister for Revenue, Industry and Commerce Younus Dagha inaugurated E-Services for Revenue land digitalization and Online Facilitation Center in the head office of Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD).

Sindh Caretaker Minister, after inauguration of Revenue land digitalization and Online Facilitation Center at ABAD House, said that the aim of opening this center was to transparently solve complaints of builders and developers and general public.

He said that the caretaker government will computerize all revenue land to put an end of corruption and monkey business to save general public’s land from fraudsters. He said that the E-Services App provides various ten types of services including domicile.

Younus Dagha said that the present caretaker government has proved that where there is a will there is a way as we have successfully took up various measures in a short period of time and this App is also the part of those measures to facilitate general public. He said that at present the E-service app is implemented for Board of Revenue and Commerce ministry but we have plan to cover other provincial departments, too.

He said that we have activated Anti-Encroachment drive vigorously and vacated various lands encroached by unscrupulous elements and further we are trying to complete goals set by the caretaker government during our short period of rule.

He said that the government is making Sindh Board of Revenue Allotment policy, which will be unveiled shortly. He said that the construction industry is capable of stabilizing our economy but the government focus on this industry is required for using its full potentials. Replying to a question he said that taxation is not mandate of the caretaker government.

Addresing the ceremony, Patron In Chief Mohsin Sheikhani said digitalization of revenue land is game changer for builders as well as for general public. He said that the country would have not been facing debt problems, if lands were wisely and according to law during the past.

He said that if the working of Revenue department is corrected, all economical problems will be solved. He demanded to abolish present land allotment policy and make a new one because some people misusing the present land allotment policy for their personal gains and send money earned through wrongdoings to other countries. Mohsin Sheikhani said that land mafias should be crushed with iron hand because they are the vices against the economic uplift of the country.

Speaking on this occasion, Chairman ABAD Asif Sumsum said that the inauguration of E-services in ABAD House is a historical event for Sindh. He said that the construction industry is the back bone of the country and members of ABAD through their projects provides jobs to thousand of people and 72 allied industries are depended on the construction industry.

He lamented that thousands of people are rendered jobless through a single notice to stop work on construction projects. He said that the creating hurdles for ABAD members is detrimental to the national economy. Praising the policies of Army Chief General Asim Munir, he said that this policy should be continued by all future governments for the economic development of our country. He also emphasised on district administration to work fearlessly for the country.
