CSPA organises seminar in remembrance of former PM Huseyn Shaheed Suharwardy

Karachi: CSPA oganised seminar on services of  fifth Prime Minister of Pakistan Huseyn Shaheed Suharwardy at a local hotel. Participants paid tributes to services of Hussain Shaheed Suharwardy for Pakistan. 

President Mahfil Justice (retd) Haziq Al Khairi said that Shaheed Suharwardi was great leader of country. He highlighted rule of law, democracy and Pakistan’s soft image in world. Barrister Shahida Jameel who is granddaughter of Shaheed Suharwardy said that by mobilising Muslim League, youth was prepared and Pakistan Movement started because Huseyn Shaheed Suharwardy had prepared Muslims in Bengal and importance of Bengal was also greater because politics of whole of India.

Centre was Bengal and from there messages were sent throughout India. Because Quaid-e-Azam and Mirza Ahmad Isfahani both invited Hussain Shaheed Suharwardi to be part of Muslim League which he accepted and merged his political party Muslim Independent Party into Muslim League and organised Muslim League to grass root level. Because of which, in election of 1946, Muslim League won with majority and Muslim League formed its government, which strengthened Pakistan. After coming to Pakistan, he was sworn in as fifth Prime Minister of Pakistan in September 1956.

As soon as he became Prime Minister, he first visited China and then visited various countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Japan, Britain and especially United States so that Pakistan’s relations are strengthened and our defense and economy are strong. Delegations of many countries came to Pakistan and assured to invest in country.
