RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has sought report today from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi on petitions filed in regard to alleged kidnapping or disappearance of proposers and seconders of PTI candidates.

Court ordered CPO Rawalpindi either these persons be traced or they be either released or be presented in court.

These orders were issued by court led by Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan on petitions filed PTI candidate Major (retd) Tahir Sadiq from NA-49 Attock and Ghulam Murtaza Satti from NA-51 Murree.

During hearing of case, Maj (retd) Tahir Sadiq had taken plea in his petition that his proposer Saadat Khan was been arrested by police while Ghulam Murtaza Satti took plea that his proposer and seconder Saqib Satti and Farrukh Murtaza Satti were arrested by police.

Muhammad Fayyaz Kundwal counsel for Maj (retd) Tahir Sadiq while Habibur Rehman advocate counsel for Ghulam Murtaza Satti appeared in court.

RPO Rawalpindi and DSP of respective circle appeared in court during hearing of case on being summoned by court. On being inquired by court police expressed ignorance.

Court inquired if local police don't know man has gone where then who knows about him. Local police should know that man died or was murdered and he had disappeared on his own.

Court remarked this is duty of police. You should know man is where.

Court warned if these men are not recovered then court would order to register FIR against local police. And all will come to open during investigation after FIR.

Counsel for Ghulam Murtaza Sattid told court we requested CPO to get release our men. Court maintained we adjourn hearing of this case till Tuesday. Court ordered CPO to trace these men and later they be either released or be presented in court.
