Court rejects police plea for extending physical remand of Shahbaz Gill

ISLAMABAD: District and Sessions Judge while rejecting Islamabad police plea for further extending physical remand of Shhabaz Gill has sent him to jail. Police presented Shahbaz Gill in court on expiry of his two days physical remand and requested court to extend his physical remand for more 7 days. 

Raja Riaz Abbasi prosecutor said during hearing of case said police was investigating accused daily. Detention of accused is must in arms case. Polygraphic test of accused has to be got conducted. Investigation has not been completed so far. During hours long remand, phones and 4 USPs were found. His room was searched. Still we need answers to some questions.  Judge inquired court of madam gave 48 hours and I too gave 48 hours. Did Madam leave way for me that I should give more physical remand.  

Prosecutor said additional sessions Judge Madam Zeba Chaudhry gave least time. She has not closed gate. Court did not say that last chance is given to police that it should investigate.  Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Shahbaz Gill argued police conducted raid with cooperation of media. How many requests have been made by police for physical remand, they have made on one basis that they have to recover one mobile phone. Police recovered four mobile phones. What mobile phone is needed by police. They don’t know that polygraphic test facility is available or otherwise in Islamabad. 16 days have passed and police did nothing except torturing. 

Faisal Chaudhry said prosecutor himself has admitted that investigation can be made in jail. Pieces of the speech were collected and then case was registered. Faisal Chaudhry opposed plea by police for extending physical remand.
