ISLAMABAD: Bailable arrest warrant was issued for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by local court in Islamabad in female judge threatening case. Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman issued warrant after hearing case.
At outset of hearing, prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi contended that court had summoned PTI Chief in personal capacity. He also added that Imran Khan’s plea for personal exemption was not accepted. “Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant should be issued as bailable ones have already been issued,” Abbasi said, asking if convict other than Khan was meted out with such treatment.
Khan’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry informed court that Islamabad High Court was hearing bail pleas in multiple cases. Court issued warrants and directed PTI Chief to submit surety bonds worth Rs 20,000 while adjourning hearing till May 25. Court further directed authorities concerned that court orders be sent to Zaman Park.
