Court extends interim bail of PTI Chairman

ISLAMABAD: Local court of Islamabad has extended till September 27 interim bail of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in case pertaining to violation of section 144.
Court also accepted exemption plea of Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Asad Qaisar and Faisal Vawda from attendance. Case came up for hearing before local court led by Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal here.
At inception of hearing Babar Awan counsel for PTI requested court that Imran Khan will not appear in court. His plea for exemption from attendance in court be accepted. Babar Awan told court Imran Khan is contesting election from 9 constituencies. Learned judge inquired from Babar Awan elections are going to be held when.
He replied election are going to take place on September 25. He told court it is 21st case against Imran Khan in which we are seeking bail. Sardar Masroof Khan’s counsel for Faisal Vawda while filing application for exemption from attendance said Faisal Vawda has gone to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umra. Therefore, his plea for exemption from attendance be accepted. Exemption plea from attendance in respect of PTI leader Asad Qaisar was also filed. Judge inquired where are Shahr Yar Afridi, Raja Khurram Ali Nawaz and Faisal Javed. Sardar Masroof replied there is case pertaining to Faisal Javed in another court. He is on way and is coming to court.
Judge inquired from police who is investigation officer in this case and is investigation complete. Investigation officer replied record is available and investigation is complete too.
