Court accepts compromise plea of accused including MPA Jam Awais in Jokhio murder case

KARACHI: Court has accepted out of court settlement plea of 3 accused including Sindh Assembly member Jam Awais in Nazim Jokhio murder case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Malir announced decision on out of court settlement of accused persons with family members of Nazim Jokhio.
Court while rejecting compromise plea of 2 accused remarked these two accused are facing kidnapping charges. Therefore, their out of court settlement plea is rejected. Court remarked compromise plea of Jam Awais, Meraj Jokhio and Ahmad Khan has been accepted. Accused Doda Khan, Muhammad Soomar are released from murder case. Additional and District Sessions Judge remarked case of kidnapping victim will run against accused Doda Khan and M Soomar. Nazim Jokhio was tortured to death in November 2021. One accused Salim Salar had refused to be released on out of court settlement plea saying he has no role in this case. Police quashed case against MNA Jam Karim due to insufficient evidence.
