Islamabad: Police used teargas to disperse protestors of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a demonstration against government.

A day after their leader came under a gun attack, workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf started agitating in different parts of country. Protests follow similar protests held previous day.

Friday’s protests came after PTI leadership sent a message to supporters to stage protests across country even as they postponed their long march in view of attack on senior party leaders.

Supporters of PTI gathered on Murree Road at Faizabad and blocked road as they protested against attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan other day.

As protesters moved forward and pelted gathered riot police with stones, police confronted protesters and fired tear gas to disperse them.

In Lahore, PTI protesters gathered outside main entrance to Punjab Governor House, where Governor and representative of federation and ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was in progress.

Protesters chanted slogans against federal government and they burnt tyres. Doors of Governor House were locked from inside. Protests were also held in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including in Peshawar.
