KARACHI: Muhammad Ali Damani and Mahmood Hussain Damani filed a complaint with Registrar Cooperative Societies Sindh on 07.04.2024 against tampering of society records of flat No. K1-103 and K1-108 Karimabad Ismaili Multipurpose Co-Operative Society Ltd (KIMCSL) ST2, Block 3, F.B Area Karachi, while Hon-Secretary of the Society Imran Arwan Panjwani was demanding illegal gratification of Rs 20,000/- for membership transfer from the genuine members.

The complainants have urged a surgical operation in Registrar Sindh Cooperative Societies Department to clean it from corrupt and law breaking officials. They were very disappointed with response sent by Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily, Assistant Registrar (General) Karachi who instead of going through facts and material at hand simply extended the service of a postman and delivered the said complaint to corrupt Secretary Imran Arwan Panjwani instead of taking any lawful action against his corruption.

The complainants while talking to “National Courier” stated that since the society was formed in 1991 there was nothing but fraud, deceptions, violations of members rights, misappropriations of society funds, fake and fabricated General Body meetings and Elections were held. Many times no annual elections and general body for years held and victimization of bonafide residents and members of KIMCSL including us were continued in presence of the officials of the Registrar Office.

Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily and other officers of Registrar are well aware of all this but failed over the years to protect the members as per law, and all this was possible with the assistance of some of the unscrupulous officers of Registrar’s Office, they alleged.

They conducted fake and fabricated elections in 2007, 2011 and 2013 and also amended the byelaws in 2011 which according to the report furnished in NAB Ref.29/2018 by the then AR Muhammad Azeem (retd) with assistance of Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily Insp.

Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily AR is unfortunately proving himself to be the one along with Jahanzeb Baloch and others who conducted elections and general body meeting in which non-members/ flat holders, defaulters were allowed to conduct meetings, contest elections as things of the past got repeated and again which will be proved in time as video/photos, records were already available to prove the same by this tampering of records proves the same. Therefore, the Sindh Chief Minister and other party officials are urged to take cognizance of this situation, they added.
