Healthy family relationships depend on healthy communications there are many ways and times to practice and teach good communication to children. There are many times that without good communication, parent-child relationship suffers and sometimes ends abruptly. Good communication skills should be taught from birth and continue throughout adulthood. Communication gap or lack of communication between parents and their kids occur when they do not understand each other and fail to communicate easily. World is very advanced today. There is absolutely no time for effective communication as everyone is busy. In this practical era where everything is just a click away from you so do the communication. It is one of fastest and powerful tools for interacting with others. Terribly, it has reduced level of face to face communication and giving times to family members.

Time is a crucial factor in bridging communication gap between parents and children. Children feel important when their parents spend time with them. This is true because when little interaction is present between parents and children, children think and feel that their parents do not care about them.

Generation gap is fact, between parents and children. Before gadgets, there was a generation gap too but interaction, conservation, chatting, playing and time spending was strongest bonding tool between these heavenly souls. Now all communication building things are overtaken by cellphones, in a precise complete solution owned by every individual.

It is totally not worthy to criticise child who is obsessed with a cellphone or tab. That’s simply your fault which should not be blaming over innocent child. As mother’s lap first then time is most important thing, when a child cries and to pardon yourself for personal quality time you simply lead them to use cellphones and watch cartons, in order to make them quit. Cellphones preference instead of toys, to a child who is not even capable of walking extremely sad but unfortunately, a child is well aware of using a phone.

Getting back to your childhood memories in flashback, then simply what you will see your parents were spending time with you and their children were their topmost priority. Now parents are career-oriented, neglecting their children and their desire. Neglecting a child is worst part of parenting. Child is unable to understand it but will be felt left out, slowly and gradually they will start keeping secrets as there is no one to listen to them, distortion in behaviour will be observed with declining grades and when they are adult they will not even bother to seek permission.

Parents want best for their children. Plan activities, go for hangouts, picnic with your kids, time which is only restricted for family and keeping all work behind. Keep a check over your offspring, track their activities, meet their friends just to make sure that they are in good company as immature ones are easily to divert and difficult to bring back on right track.

Few of wise parents are raising their children in best way through traditional parenting ways in early developing years whereas in teenage duration by modern parenting. They do keep intense interaction with their children and raise them in a friendly environment. Surely, these children are those who have high confidence level, develop trusting nature towards their parents, career-oriented and family first with loving souls.

If you haven’t given your children time when they needed it most then why you are accepting them to spare time for you in your old age. Now parents are regretting that gap is increasing between them and their children. It is as simple as “whatever you will sow so shall you reap.”

Communication gap between parents and kids is quite common these days and same is preventable if you can take out some time and follow certain rules.

Some children do not open up easily even to their parents. This happens when parent is trying to be rigid or levy their ideas on their little one. Lend a understanding ear to your children whenever she wants to talk to you. Your work can wait. Be available to them always. Your children are more matured and forward-looking than you are when it comes to modern technologies. Embrace and understand your children’s world. Upgrade yourself from time to time so that you can understand your children better. Create an emotional bond with your children. Spend some quality time with them and understand them. Erase all negativity from your talk. Appreciate your children whenever they deserves it. Reward them for their good work. Children do not open up easily when they find you rigid. Make your children’s interests your interests irrespective of generation gap.

Time is changing. You cannot expect your children to grow up and conform to old ways of thinking. You have to be flexible enough to accept ideas of your children and their way of thinking. There are no boundaries or limits in friendship. Make your children your friend. Spend time together, have at least a meal in a day together.  Give space for free flow of thoughts and ideas. Schedule some playtime with them. Open all doors and windows of communication with your children. Be willing and prepared to talk. Keep talking to your children. They need you. Regular communication with them will bring both you and your children closer. Accept and adjust with change. Build a healthy relationship with your children. Trust your children.
