KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, visited the office of Deputy Commissioner Central today to emphasize the importance of polio eradication in the city.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem, SSP Central Zeeshan Siddiqui, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Asim Abbas, DHO Health, and other members of the polio team.

During the visit, Commissioner Naqvi met with parents of children who have refused polio vaccination and educated them about the benefits of the vaccine.

He stressed that the polio vaccine can significantly improve the future of their children. Naqvi also highlighted the dangers of poliovirus, which can cripple children and have a lasting impact on their lives. The Commissioner's visit is part of a broader effort to eradicate polio in Karachi.

The city has seen a resurgence of polio cases in recent years, and the government is working tirelessly to vaccinate all children under the age of five.

Commissioner Naqvi's commitment to polio eradication is commendable, and his efforts to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination are crucial in the fight against this debilitating disease.
