Commissioner Karachi Girls, Boys Basketball to commence from 13th Feb

Karachi: Karachi Basketball Association President Ghulam Muhammad Khan called on DIG Traffic Karachi Muhammad Nawaz Deputy Commissioner South Captain (retd) Saeed Laghari SSP South Syed Asad Raza Wing Commander 44 Wing Rangers in connection with the arrangements for the 6th Commissioner Karachi Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament.

The above officials and personalities assured him of full support and said that just as Commissioner Karachi Marathon has been organized in a wonderful way, this tournament will also be memorable. Media coordinator Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi was also present. Meanwhile, the  KBBA president announced that the Commissioner Boys and Girls Basketball Championship will be held from Feb 13.

It is being held with the permission of Karachi Basketball Association, under the auspices of Firdous Ittihad and Usman Basketball Club, at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Arambagh.  In addition to the award, cash and valuable prizes will be given. Teams wishing to participate in the girls tournament should contact Zaima Khatun on 03322350525 and Ghulam Mohammad Khan on 03351215717 for the boys tournament on these numbers by February 10.  The draws for the tournament will be drawn on February 11 at 8 pm. Meanwhile, Ghulam Mohammad Khan met Assistant Commissioner Aram Bagh Madiha Nareju and informed her about the details of the tournament.

The Assistant Commissioner assured that during the tournament foolproof security, cleanliness arrangements and all possible support will be provided by the district administration, while the Deputy Director of DMC South Park Ahmar Shafiq , SSWMB MD Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah have assured all kinds of support to the organizers.  Meanwhile, an exhibition basketball match between Amjad Ali XI and Abdul Nasser XI will be played on February 5 at 8 pm, in which prominent players from Karachi will participate.
