Commission formed to make efforts for recovery of missing persons

QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has constituted high powered commission of inquiry under chairmanship of Minister for Home, Tribal Affairs and PDMA Mir Ziaullah Langove to examine each case and make efforts for recovery of missing persons and to devise mechanism to help and support families of missing persons, if not involved in anti-state/terrorist activities.
A notification issued by Home and Tribal Affairs Department Balochistan says, “In compliance with directions contained in judgment November 17, 2021 passed by High Court of Balochistan in constitutionlal petittiion NO. 441/2010 and 14-othwer petitions government of Balochistan is pleased to constitute high-powered parliamentary commission of inquiry comprising Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Balochistan, Chairman Asadullah Baloch, member Assembly Engineer Zamrak Khan, Malik Naseer Ahmed Shahwani, Mir Zabit Ali Reki, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Home and Tribal Affairs Department, any co-opted member, if required by chairman with consent of other members of commission. Notification further says, “Terms of Reference of aforesaid commission are to examine each case and make efforts for requiry of missing persons, to devise a mechanism to help and support of families of missing persons, if not involved in anti-state/terrorist activities”. Notification says, “Aforesaid commission shall deem to have been constituted under Section 3 of Balochistan Tribunal of Inquiry Ordinance 1969 and shall exercise powers as envisaged under said Ordinance.”
