COAS pays farewell visit to PMA Kakul, Baloch Regiment

Rawalpindi: As part of his farewell visits, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul and Baloch Regimental Centre Abbottabad, military said.

Upon his arrival at PMA, Gen Qamar was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Army Chief laid floral wreath at Martyrs' Monument and offered fateha. Gen Bajwa also interacted with cadets and officers of PMA. While addressing, COAS appreciated exceptionally high standards of Pakistan Army's premier training institution and its efforts towards grooming future leaders.

COAS Gen Bajwa also advised cadets to focus their energies in pursuit of professional excellence.

Later on, he visited Baloch Regimental Centre. After laying floral wreath at Shuhada monument, he interacted with serving and retired officers and troops of illustrious Baloch Regiment. COAS paid rich tribute to their supreme sacrifices.

 Earlier on arrival at Baloch Regimental Centre, COAS was received by Chief of General Staff Lt Gen Azhar Abbas.
