Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir participated in Christmas celebrations at Christ Church, Rawalpindi, alongside the Christian community, as per ISPR reports. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted Islam's teachings of peace, friendship, and the pressing need for interfaith harmony in today's context.

The congregation warmly received the COAS and appreciated his presence during the festivities. Gen Munir extended his heartfelt wishes for a Merry Christmas to the entire Christian community in Pakistan.

He emphasized the significance of respecting religious diversity and advocated for greater efforts in fostering interfaith unity, aligning with Quaid's vision for a unified and progressive Pakistan.

In addressing national issues, the COAS stressed the importance of forming opinions based on truth, correct perspectives, and informed knowledge, rather than succumbing to rhetoric or propaganda. He underlined the attempts by Pakistan's adversaries to exploit religious, ethnic, and political divisions and urged unity as a nation to counter these challenges.

Paying tribute to Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 147th birth anniversary, Gen Munir quoted Jinnah's historic speech from August 11, 1947, emphasizing the freedom of worship in the newly formed state of Pakistan.

In conclusion, the COAS lauded the significant contributions and sacrifices made by Pakistan's Christian community across various fields.
