COAS Munir lauds valour of KP police, vows to exterminate terrorism together as nation

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited site of blast at Peshawar Police Lines, where at least 100 people mostly policemen lost their lives when suicide bomber blew himself up inside packed masjid earlier this week.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Army Chief met with officers and men of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police during his visit.
COAS appreciated bravery and contribution of K-P police and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in war against terrorism, ISPR said. Army Chief said that K-P police was one of bravest forces and has fought as frontline force against terrorism. He appreciated high morale of K-P police personnel and LEAs and paid rich tribute to martyrs of police who have laid down their lives for defence of motherland.“We as nation together will root out this menace of terrorism till enduring peace and InshaaAllah we shall achieve this,” ISPR quoted Gen Asim as saying.
