Rawalpindi: In an unprecedented address at National Farmers’ Convention, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir vowed to combat mafias in unison with nation, underlining critical importance of national unity and progress.

Addressing crowd, he rallied against proliferation of false information on social media platforms, asserting that such misinformation only undermines state’s existence and stability.
Highlighting Pakistan’s vast wealth of natural resources from glaciers, rivers and mountains to fertile land boasting world-renowned produce like rice, mangoes and oranges-COAS reminded audience of country’s immense potential. Reflecting on Pakistan’s historic growth in 1960s, he attributed nation’s subsequent decline to departure from Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of faith, unity and discipline.
General Asim acknowledging agriculture and animal husbandry as time-honoured professions, stressed their significance in building discipline, perseverance and reaping substantial rewards. These malls will facilitate easy access to agricultural loans, cold storage chains, climate-resistant seeds, and advanced livestock breeding practices.
