COAS assures action against corruption, smuggling, power theft

Islamabad: Civil-military leadership has decided strict actions against those elements who were involved in any kind of illegal activities including corruption, smuggling and power theft or running criminal mafias.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired meeting attended by civil-military leadership in which measures against unlawful activities were discussed.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir assured unwavering resolve of Pakistan Army to support government’s initiatives aimed at economic recovery of country.
“LEAs and other government departments will continue enforcement actions against spectrum of illegal activities with full force to deny pilferage of resources and economic losses that country suffers due to these activities.”
Army Chief stressed need for synergy among all relevant departments for gainful effects of landmark initiatives. Participants affirmed that state institutions, government departments and people were united for progress and prosperity of province.
Prime Minister directed all stakeholders to vigorously pursue various initiatives against spectrum of illegal activities and criminal mafias to ensure their accomplishment within stipulated timeframe.
