‘COAS appointment process to start tomorrow’

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that process for appointment of a new Army Chief will start on Friday and nominations will be shared by Pakistan Army.

Talking to media here yesterday, he said that there is no deadlock on nomination of Army Chief, as process has not started yet. Replying to a query, Defence Minister rejected possibility of any favourites of government among nominees for new Army Chief.

Speaking about PTI Chief Imran Khan, Khawaja Aisf said that government is mulling over a punitive action against him for damaging national solidarity, security and integrity for his vested interests.

He said that Imran Khan has committed crime against state by damaging national cohesion and country’s bilateral relations with other states.
