KARACHI: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Cooperative Department, Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari held a unique event at Karimabad Ismailia Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd (KIMCSL) the other day by allotting flats (which were never constructed) to its members.
Informed sources disclosed that Advisor Mazari distributed ownership rights to 45 affected members of the Society, while there was not even a single flat constructed for them. This fake distribution ceremony was hosted by Imran Arwan Panjwani, the so called Hon: Secretary of the Society who was installed by Registrar Cooperative Societies Sindh.
As already reported by “National Courier” the members of the KIMC Society have urged the incumbent Registrar to immediately take action as per law against Imran Arwan Panjwani who was fraudulently misrepresenting himself as member/ flat holder under Cooperative Societies Act 2020 (24) of 2020. The Registrar’s appointed Inspector/ Administrator for KIMCSL Muhammad Usman Khaskhaily had illegally approved his nomination for the post of Secretary in election 2023.
Sources further disclosed that Imran Panjwani was running a scam of booking flats of about 1080 sq. ft. for his proposed building at the rate of Rs.25 million each. Out of these planned 24 flats in one block only 10 flats would be given to old members of the Society while remaining 14 flats are to be sold out to outsider non-members. For this purpose he has recently started a small scale construction work through one of his friends, having unknown construction company, without getting approval from Committee of the Society and obtaining NOC from Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), the sources added.
