CM talks envoys, discusses trade ties

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that his government is working to boost industry and agriculture sector by bringing in foreign investment by offering them different incentives.
Talking to Consul Generals of China Yang Yundong, Japan HATTORI Masaru, Turkey Cemal Sangu and Russia Andrey Fedorov who called on him separately here CM said that during last tenure of President Asif Ali Zardari various projects of agriculture were discussed and MOUs were signed. Now, time has come to implement agriculture projects under which scientific methods of agriculture would be adopted to improve yields of crops.
Chief Minister and Yang Yundong discussed CPEC projects, Karachi Circular Railway and agriculture. CM said that some lines of BRT bus system have started operation while two are under construction.
Murad and HATTORI Masaru discussed investment in different sectors, including electronics and automobiles. It was decided that meeting between Sindh Investment Department and Consulate’s top officers would be organised shortly to select sectors for investment.
Cemal Sangu told CM that they wanted to expand their education system in rural areas. Currently, Turkish schools are operating in Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas. CM said that he would hold meeting of education minister with hi [consul general] to establish Turkish schools in rural areas.
Russian Consul General, Andrey Fedorov in his meeting with CM discussed matters of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Commander Karachi (COMKAR) Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. They discussed professional capabilities and skills of national entity. Meanwhile, Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on Murad Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. Interior Minister felicitated Murad Ali Shah on assuming charge as Sindh Chief Minister. They discussed issues of mutual interests.
