LAHORE: In a bid to enhance educational opportunities and bridge the digital divide, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced an upgraded laptop scheme for students in the province. The new initiative will provide students with the latest laptops, aimed at supporting their academic and technological needs.

During a press conference in Lahore, CM Buzdar unveiled details of the scheme, which will distribute high-performance laptops to students across various universities, colleges, and educational institutions. The laptops, equipped with the latest technology, will be given to deserving students to help them pursue their studies in an increasingly digital world.

“The Punjab government is committed to ensuring that students have access to the tools they need to excel in their education,” CM Buzdar stated. “These laptops will equip our youth with the resources required for online learning, research, and skill development, thus preparing them for the challenges of the future.”

The latest devices provided under the scheme are expected to feature high-speed processors, enhanced storage capacity, and long-lasting battery life, making them ideal for academic use, including research, assignments, and online lectures. The initiative aims to not only support traditional education but also promote the integration of technology in the learning process.

The laptop distribution will be targeted at both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a special emphasis on those from underprivileged backgrounds.

The government plans to identify deserving candidates through a transparent selection process, ensuring that the initiative reaches those who need it the most.
