CM Murad unveils ambitious uplift agenda in line with PPP manifesto

HYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah during press conference, highlighted number of development projects being undertaken by his government across province, in line with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s promise of fulfilling commitments made during his election campaign.
After chairing meeting of elected representatives of four districts of Hyderabad division, including Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar and Tando Muhammad Khan, he said that on directives of party chairman, consultative meeting was being conducted to execute uplift schemes based on proposals of elected representatives.
CM highlighted that provincial government was working for complete rehabilitation of those affected by devastating 2022 floods, stating that 2.1 million houses were being constructed for which funds had already been arranged.
He said that steps were being taken for provision of free electricity to marginalised segments of society, adding that an announcement in this regard would be made soon. During next five years, his government’s focus would be on providing primary healthcare facilities across province. He said that government was also supporting private sector hospitals.
CM said that his government was also focussing on subject of education, adding that Education Minister has assured that no school would be closed down due to lack of teachers. CM said that he was committed to resolving issue of providing potable water to Hyderabad.
Regarding subject of law and order, he said that measures were being taken to ensure safety of every citizen across province. He said that his government would shortly launch Labour Card, adding that promise of initiating Benazir Labour Card had already been fulfilled.
PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro, Sindh ministers Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, Jam Khan Shoro and Saeed Ghani attended meeting.
