CM Murad to convene post-Geneva moot to give projects to donors

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he was convening post-Geneva Conference at end of January in which donors would be given projects of their choice or sector so that they implement them for rehabilitation of flood-affected people of province.
Meeting with Country Director of World Food Program Chris Kaye including Minister Food Mukesh Chawla, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Secretary to CM Raheem Shaikh and DG PDMA Salman Shah he told visiting WFP country chief that he has decided to convene post-Geneva conference in which donors would be given projects of their choice or sector so that rehabilitation of flood-victims could be ensured at earliest.
Chris Kaye appreciated idea of CM and assured him of his support for conference and help in food security of people. CM and WFP country chief discussed establishment of silos so that food security could be ensured. Establishment of silo is an Rs 7 billion project and would be established within three years.
CM and WFP country head discussed reducing malnutrition and food security projects. WFOP has assured Murad that they would be supporting Sindh government.
