CM Maryam, Governor Khan on same page for Punjab’s development

Maryam Nawaz and Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in meeting here vowed to prioritise sustainable development and elevate standard of living for citizens in province. In cordial exchange, CM Maryam extended her congratulations to Governor Khan on assuming office, underscoring their shared commitment to working for progress of Punjab.
Discussions encompassed wide array of topics including economic development, governance, education, healthcare, law enforcement, climate change and other pertinent issues. Both leaders affirmed their dedication to fostering cooperation across various sectors to ensure welfare of citizens throughout province.
CM Maryam particularly highlighted ongoing upgrades to Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and initiation of several projects in education, healthcare, infrastructure and information technology. Moreover, she emphasised implementation of special social protection programme designed to alleviate the hardships faced by underprivileged segments of society.
Governor Khan echoed these sentiments, pledging to exert every effort to alleviate public burdens and uphold constitutional and legal norms across Punjab. He assured full cooperation from Governor House in facilitating prevalence of law and order. Meanwhile, speaking at gathering in Phoolnagar, CM said that farmers would soon get ambitious aid package tailored for farmers, amounting to staggering Rs 400 billion over span of four months. In tandem with these agricultural interventions, she outlined comprehensive strategy for infrastructural development, promising significant enhancements in province’s road network.
