LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi presided over 7th provincial Cabinet meeting at CM office. Addressing meeting he stated that Punjab government is nicely performing its duty to render public service adding that we are all united and will remain so. Imran Khan is our leader and we welcome his call. Alliance of PTI and PML-Q is strong and those trying to create cracks will meet with failure as earlier.

Our alliance is meant to serve public and no conspiracy can stop us from providing service to masses of Punjab. Those indulging into conspiracies will bite dust. Approval was granted to induct 25 thousands teachers in School Education department under chair of CM Parvez Elahi during Cabinet meeting. CM said that Malala Yousafzai made request to him for inducting 25 thousands teachers in schools during her meeting. CM directed to complete induction process of 25 thousand teachers at earliest. Punjab Cabinet took mega step with regard to provision of justice to common man and granted approval to provide free legal aid and approval was granted of Punjab Public Defender Service Bill 2020 in this regard.   Cabinet granted approval to extend scope regarding provision of solar pumps for farmers across province. CM directed SMBR to give final shape to new policy as soon as possible.

Cabinet granted approval to establish sports endowment fund worth Rs 2 billion. CM Parvez Elahi revealed that international coaches will be called to Pakistan in order to impart training to local players. CM granted approval to increase special allowance upto 5,000 rupees. Approval was also granted during meeting for special grant of Punjab Institute of Language Art and Culture (PILAC) worth Rs 250 million. Approval was granted to amend Punjab Government Advertisement Policy 2020. CM censured that Shehbaz Sharif ruined advertisement policy. CM directed to lay special focus on social media and remarked that present era belongs to digital media. Social media wing will be made more effective in DGPR Office.

 CM revealed that Rs 50 billion are enhanced in capacity of Annual Development Programme of Punjab. Rs. 85 billion additional was being spent in development funds during five months of current fiscal year in comparison to last year. Approval was granted to make amendments in Public Sector Universities Act 2022 during meeting
