KARACHI: Residents of Karachi are facing intermittent gas outages and low gas pressure for weeks. SSGC consumers of Clifton Block-1,2 Marine Resorts especially Sea Rock Apartments have complained that they were facing low gas pressures for last three-four months. But for last month, there is frequent and unannounced load shedding without any time schedule.

Complaining Sui Southern Gas Customer Facilitation Centre Clifton Block 9 residents on September 14 in writing stated that there was total gas disruption from 5 pm to 11 pm in Clifton Block 1, 2 for over 6 months now. There are more than 160 apartments facing this problem but none of officials from SSGC visited to sort out complaint. There is a complete shutdown of gas supply in this place without stating any reason. It may be mentioned here that all consumers are regularly paying monthly bills.

On other hand, Sui Southern Gas Company claimed there was no load shedding anywhere in city. “If there’s any load pressure, consumers can lodge complaint at their complaint numbers,” company said.
