KARACHI: Hashmat Habib President Tehreek e Tahaffuz e Adlia said it is not the function of Chief Justice of Pakistan to have private meetings with any group of litigants except all necessary steps to resolve the grievances of every litigant can be taken in open court.
Letter writing plan now reached to the meetings with Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi. This is a serious attack on rule of law and Supremacy of Parliament on the one hand and on the other independence of Judiciary.
Hashmat Habib closely watched this modus operandi of traitors which will finally shake our running system because the paid social media and active journalists are on a project to destabilise present system under the garb of failure of Rule of law. Senior lawyer said we are surprised to know about the meeting of Chief Justice of Pakistan with 7 members’ delegation of a political party who were also appearing before the court and as apprehended the installed Social media team and conspirator bloggers started a calculated campaign to damage judiciary and defame CJP’s position which we strongly condemn.
Hashmat Habib said there are over 2000 lawyers of Supreme Court who have invested their hard earned savings in the hope of having residential plot in lawyers’ housing project on the basis of their investment and four judges’ unanimous Judgment. But Supreme Court itself has failed to implement its Judgment only because of one front man of influencing lawyers’ leadership and over 3 billion rupees have been misappropriated.
He said we demand to CJP to do Justice without fear and favor with the lawyers’ community and ensure implementation of this Judgment within his tenure at least. Rest of it is politics that should be avoided by CJP, he added.
