ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has imposed fine of Rs one million on petitioner for prolonging case. 3-member bench of SC presided over by CJP heard case related to ownership of land.
Expressing annoyance over petitioner for prolonging case, court slapped fine amounting to one million rupees on petitioner.
CJP remarked entire judicial system was annihilated. However we will bring improvement in all matters slowly. This case was prolonged for 14 years. Petitioner remained occupant of land for such long period. Time of courts is wasted through fabricated petitions. Court while dismissing ownership of land case imposed fine as well.
It is pertinent to mention here that petitioner had challenged Lahore High Court decision in ownership of land case.
