Karachi:  Mayor Karachi, Chairman KWSC Barrister Murtaza Wahab met delegation of World Bank at Chairman Secretariat Karsaz. They discussed mutual issues in detail. Joseph and Farhan Sami of World Bank delegation, CEO Water Corporation Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, COO Asadullah Khan, PDK KWSSIP Abdul Ala Bhatti, DG PP Mode Asad Zamin, DMD Planning Muhammad Ayoob Shaikh, DMD RRG Syed Imran Zaidi, Director Investment KWSSIP Shakeel Qureshi and Secretary Board Zahra Dastgir were present.

According to spokesperson of Water Corporation, World Bank delegation appreciated efforts of Mayor Karachi to improve water supply and drainage system in city.

During meeting, World Bank delegation assured Mayor Karachi of full cooperation for improvement of water supply and drainage system in city.

Mayor said that with joint cooperation of Sindh Government and World Bank further improvements are being made in Water Corporation under reforms.

He said that with joint cooperation of Sindh government and World Bank, work is ongoing on various water supply and drainage projects and completion of these projects will improve city lot.

Earlier, World Bank delegation conducted detailed inspection and review of Hydrants Management Center Water Corporation. CEO of Water Corporation gave detailed briefing to World Bank delegation on reforms to be carried out in Corporation including Hydrants Management Center and other issues.

World Bank delegation appreciated efforts of CEO on reforms brought in Corporation including establishment of Hydrants Management Centre.
