LAHORE: Punjab government spokesperson Fayyazul Hassan Chohan wanted government to conduct transparent probe into Wazirabad incident. Addressing news conference here he said, “Concerns of imported government could be estimated from way government mocked Imran Khan for receiving bullets.”

Chohan accused government of using federal institutions to influence JIT, saying that Imran Khan did not flee country like PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif by staging drama of illness. He complimented his party chief saying, “Imran Khan fought elements of violence and tyranny by staying in country.”

He blamed coalition government for using key suspect in Wazirabad incident against Imran Khan, which was quite deplorable”.

Chohan said, “Presser of accused Naveed’s lawyer helped Imran boost his respect.” He was of view that assassination attempt on popular leader Imran Khan was plot against country’s security.
