‘China agrees to provide with latest meteorological equipment’

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railway and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique said that China has agreed to provide Pakistan with latest meteorological equipment to effectively forecast environmental changes and natural calamities.
Addressing a news conference here yesterday, he said that several agreements were reached during visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China. Minister said China has not only expressed readiness to complete ML-I railway project but also in upgrading Pakistan’s meteorological warning systems with help of Chinese experts to prevent and tackle natural disasters by timely alerts.
About political situation in country, Minister strongly condemned incident of firing on PTI’s long march in Wazirabad yesterday. He called for a joint investigation team comprising competent officers to probe into incident.
