‘Charity Cricket Match for Flood Victims’

Karachi: In connection with helping the flood victims, SFA  Association in collaboration with ‘Bano Youth Ki Awaz’ and ‘Plan B’ organized a charity-based Cricket Tournament in which cricketers associated with the Stars of the Showbiz, Journalists, Ticktockers and other welfare organizations took part.

A large number of people turned up to see the tournament in the floodlit Asghar Ali Shah Stadium and this way they participated in this noble task.  The final of the tournament was played between SWTO and SFA in which SFA scored 57 runs. In reply to this score, SWTO could make only 48 runs. SFA thus won by 9 runs. 

While addressing the final ceremony, Mr. Aijaz Chachro extended his utmost appreciation to the organizers on holding such a brilliant tournament and an appealing final ceremony. On this occasion he said that his support and services will remain available to SFA and their collaborators in the times to come as well.  In his address, former MNA, Rehan Hashmi, said SFA being an NGO has done a commendable work and deserve congratulation. In this connection, he also appreciated the efforts of ‘Bano Youth Ki Awaz’ and ‘Plan B’ and said that this event is evidence of the fact that we all together can do great welfare work for the people suffering from natural disasters. 

SFA Chairman, Shahid Ali Hashmi, vowed to continue to work for flood victims until their miseries are over and they are restored in normal life activities. He went ahead to say they he would organize more such events to help the floor victims as much as possible.  

In the end, the captain of the tournament’s victorious team and Vice Chairman of SFA, Farhan Khan, thanked Syed Mohiuddin, Adnan Sheikh, Qais Mansoor and other guests.
