Chairman PTI files petitions in IHC against rejection of bail pleas in 9 cases

ISLAMABAD: Chairman PTI Imran Khan has filed petitions in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against decisions on rejection of his bail in 9 cases related to May 9 incident, attack on judicial complex and forgery. Six bail pleas of Chairman PTI were dismissed from sessions' court and 3 from Anti-Terrorism Court.

Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri had directed petitioner to remove objections on petitions filed against rejection of bail. Counsels of Chairman PTI filed these petitions in IHC after removing objections raised by registrar office.

Chairman PTI through his counsel Suleman Safdar filed 9 petitions in High Court. State and plaintiff of case have been made respondents in these petitions. Petitioner has requested court to nullify decision of rejection his bail in 9 cases.

It has been further said in petition that trial court dismissed bail pleas being not persuaded without seeing merit. Trial courts decisions be annulled to meet norms of justice. Trial courts be directed to hear cases again and give decision on merit. Police be barred from making arrest in these 9 cases.
