Chairman NAB decides to hire services of intelligence agencies

ISLAMABAD: Chairman NAB taking big decision against corruption has sought officers from intelligence agencies. After reopening corruption cases of billions of rupees NAB has taken more important decisions.

Chairman NAB has decided to hire services of officers of intelligence agencies for initiation of proceedings against corrupt elements.

NAB has sought officers from intelligence agencies for their induction on important posts on deputation. Officers from intelligence agencies will start working in NAB within few days.

With approval of Chairman NAB Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmad, letter has been written to intelligence agencies to hire services of their officers. Appointments will be made on all vacant posts in NAB forthwith. Permanent officers will be appointed against posts of deputy chairman NAB and Prosecutor General.

Meanwhile, NAB has sent record of 81 corruption references of billions of rupees to Accountability Court (AC). Under directive of Judge Muhammad Bashir of Accountability Court (AC), record of NAB cases will be scrutinised and sent to respective accountability courts.

Record of NAB cases in respect of former President Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gillani has been presented in AC.

NAB cases record in respect of Murad Ali Shah, Sharjeel Memon, Omni group, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail has been submitted in AC as well.

During meeting of NAB investigation officers with registrar AC, elementary review of legal aspects of NAB cases has been made. Meeting continued over half an hour.

Registrar AC directed investigation officers should present NAB cases record one by one.
