Chairman FGV, Gov Tessori discuss Pak-Malaysia ties, increasing cooperation in various fields

Karachi: Tan Sri Rastam Bin Mohd Isa, Chairman of Felda Global Venture (FGV), largest palm oil producer in Malaysia along with an 11-member delegation met Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. Well-known industrialists Bashir Jan Muhammad and Rashid Jan Muhammad were present in meeting. In meeting, Pakistan-Malaysia relations, increasing cooperation in various fields and investment opportunities in province were discussed.
Governor said that increase in economic cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia is in interest of both countries. He said that they want to benefit from Malaysia’s experience for palm oil cultivation in Sindh province. Kamran Tessori said that there are vast opportunities for investment in health, education, energy, agriculture and other sectors in province. New era of development can be ushered in through projects. Delegation briefed Governor about details of 6th Pakistan Edible Oil Conference to be held at local hotel on January 13 and also invited Governor to attend 6th Pakistan Edible Oil Conference. Governor Sindh presented Sindhi cap and Ajarak, culture of province to members of delegation. Later, members of delegation inspected items used by leader, delegation also visited marquee prepared for IT students. Members of delegation highly appreciated welfare initiatives of Governor, especially IT programme. Delegation included Chief Financial Officer FGV Muhammad Haril Abdul Hamid, Director FGV Fakhr Umayam bin Othman, Head of Marketing Zul Qufli Bin Othman, Chief Executive Officer Felda Trading Muhammad Azamsi Rajab, CEO KL Kepong Malaysia Tan Sri Dato Seri Lee Oi Hian, CEO Astra KL Ooi Liang Hin, executive KL Tan Kwan Yung and CEO Edible Oils Lim Jit Jei.
