Karachi: Caretaker Minister for Information, Minority Affairs and Social Protection, President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Ahmad Shah, highlighted enduring legacy of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, during seminar ‘Jinnah: Timeless Legacy’ held at Sindh Madressatul Islam University.
Ahmad Shah expressed concern that despite numerous efforts in Quaid-e-Azam’s name, nation has not fully realised its vision. He emphasised need for alignment with Quaid’s ideals and also emphasised importance of practical actions. Shah acknowledged Quaid-e-Azam’s practical approach, underscoring his dedication to every task. He criticised historical figures, stating that unionists were once slaves to British and feudal lords remained loyal to colonial powers. He speculated that if Quaid-e-Azam were present today, he would express displeasure over actions of current management system.
Shah urged audience, especially young students to emulate Quaid’s commitment to excellence in their respective fields.
Seminar featured documentaries showcasing youth co-curricular activities and Sindh’s cultural heritage, aligning them with Quaid-e-Azam’s principles. University students delivered speeches in English and Urdu, providing detailed perspectives on Quaid-e-Azam’s personality and presenting national songs.
