CAP pays rich tribute to martyrs, terms ‘May 9 mayhem’ history’s darkest chapter

KARACHI: Consumers Association of Pakistan organized Eid Millan Party which was held on the occasion of Pakistan Martyrs' Day to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army.

Additional IG Javed Alam Odho was the chief guest of the ceremony. Addressing the event, Chairman CAP Kaukab Iqbal said that the purpose of organizing the event is to inform the citizens about the functioning of the CAP and to express solidarity with the martyrs and veterans of our armed forces.

Kaukab Iqbal said that we salute the martyrs and Ghazis who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Pakistan and for the defense, integrity and stability of the country.

The entire Pakistani nation is proud of its army and country because our armed forces are the best forces in the world who have made great sacrifices for the defense and security of Pakistan's borders and the country, which is recognized by the whole world and for establishing peace in the country and fighting terrorism, said CAP Chairman.

Stressing light on recent May 9 mayhem, Kaukab said that some miscreants have damaged the memorials of martyrs, military installations and other government and private properties which is highly condemnable and the perpetrators must get severe punishment.

During the event the guests of honors were Consul General Malaysia Herman Hardynata Bin Ahmad, Consul General Indonesia Dr. June Koncoro Hadingrat, Consul General Turkey Cemal Sangu while top management of CAP, journalists, educationist were also present including Brigadier (R) Malik Waqar Awan, Members Organizing Committee Abdul Salam, Furqan Bilal, Rafia Mamujee, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Junaid Abdul Qadir, Abdul Jabbar Rathore, Maulana Azad Jameel, Jinnah University for Women Chancellor Wajih Uddin, Sabir Ahmed, Ikram Rajput, Mukhtar Ahmed Khan, Member CAP and Women Wing CAP, Azhar Jameel, Rana Awais, Aman Pir, Ahsan Mehanti.
