‘CAP hosts dinner in honour of Houston businessman Tanveer Ahmed’

KARACHI: Chairman of Consumer Association of Pakistan Kaukab Iqbal hosted dinner in honour of Tanveer Ahmed well-known Pakistani businessman based in America at a local hotel here. Consul General Malaysia Herman Hardynata Bin Ahmad, Deputy High Commissioner Bangladesh S.M. Mahbubul Alam, Brig. (retd) Azhar Manzoor Chairman Advisory Consul CAP Tanweer Ghori, CEO Metco Rice Shoaib Khan and leading businessman Gulzar Firoz FPCCI among others attended event.
Kokab Iqbal paying tribute to Tanveer Ahmed said that Ahmed achieved his unique position in business world of America, especially Texas Houston. And always think well of Pakistanis. Whenever Pakistan needed them, they actively participated in social works with dedicated heart. I believe this is an expression of their love for Pakistan. Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh said that it is good that despite being such big businessman, he loves Pakistan and is always interested in social work. Uzair Hassan said that Tanveer Ahmed is great personality and popular in business community based in America. People show love whenever they act with sincere intentions. Tanveer Ahmed said that if you become a true human being, then Allah himself gives you position. He said that he is bringing Houston cricket team to Pakistan for matches in month of January, hoping that tournament in Karachi will be well received. He thanked Uzair Hassan and Kokab Iqbal. Gift of Sindhi Ajrak was presented to Tanveer Ahmed and distinguished guests. While a shield was presented by Consumer Association of Pakistan and portrait of Quaid-e-Azam was also presented by Mansoor Najmi.
Sheikh Khalil ur Rehman, Sr. Vice Chairman CAP and Chairman Khalil Group of Companies, Arif Suleman Trade Advisor to Thailand, Kanwar Kutub Uddin former MNA and leading businessman from Islamabad, Mashkoor A. G. Khan Regional Manager, Aslam Khaliq Vice Chairman Advisory Council CAP and others were present in attendance.
